Wireless USB is a high bandwidth, short range wireless protocol that is used in the radio communication. Wireless USB is sometimes called as WUSB or certified wireless USB. It works on the basis of the Ultra Wide Band (UWB) that is a common radio platform. The data sending capability of the wireless USB is about 480Mbit/s within a distance of 3 meters and 110Mbit/s within 10 meters. WUSB is designed to be operational in 3.1 to 10.6GHz frequency range. However this range may vary depending the country because of their legal regulation policies. Wireless USB will soon replace the wired cables from the peripherals of the USB. WUSB are much more advantageous than Wi-Fi when compared with their operating frequency range.
